Fall Yard Cleanup Around Douglas Lake

October 22, 2026 · Seasonal

A Dandy Ridge Dumpsters roll-off loaded with brush and yard waste in Jefferson County, TN

Every fall, the yards around Douglas Lake produce more debris than a trash can will ever handle. Limbs come down, brush piles grow, and the beds that looked fine all summer suddenly need clearing before winter. A roll-off dumpster turns all of that into one weekend of work instead of a month of truck trips, and Dandy Ridge Dumpsters drops them all over Jefferson County, from Dandridge and White Pine to Jefferson City, New Market, and out toward Morristown.

What yard debris can go in the dumpster?

Brush, tree limbs, leaves, and general yard waste are all fine in a Dandy Ridge roll-off. So is the other stuff a fall cleanup tends to turn up: a rotten picnic table, worn-out planters, the fence pickets you pulled, scrap lumber from the shed. You can mix yard waste and household junk in the same dumpster, which is handy because most fall cleanups end up being a little of both. The full rundown is on our acceptable items page.

What can't go in, even in a yard cleanup?

Dirt, rock, and fill material stay out, no exceptions. That surprises folks mid-cleanup, because a fall project often includes digging out a bed or leveling a spot, and the natural move is to toss the spoil in the dumpster. The problem is weight. Even a partial load of dirt hits the truck's legal limit, so we can't haul it. Same goes for concrete, like old landscape edging or a broken walkway. If your project includes that kind of material, call us before you book and we'll point you the right way.

What size dumpster does a fall cleanup need?

For most yards, the 20-yard roll-off at $375 for 3 days is the answer. Brush is bulky and light, so you'll fill the space long before you touch the included ton of weight, and the 3-day window fits a weekend of raking and hauling with room to spare. If the cleanup is part of a bigger job, say you're also clearing the garage or the basement before the holidays, the 7-day rental at $475 buys you the week. Both prices are flat, posted on our pricing page, with up to 1 ton of disposal included.

Do wet leaves change what you pay?

They can, because we bill weight from the actual scale at the landfill. Dry leaves and brush weigh almost nothing. The same pile soaked by a week of October rain weighs a lot more. It rarely pushes a pure yard load over the included ton, but if your cleanup is heavy on wet material, loading during a dry stretch keeps the number down. Either way you'll see the scale ticket with your invoice, so the weight is never a mystery.

When should you book a fall dumpster?

As soon as you pick your cleanup weekend. We run Monday through Saturday, 8 to 7, and we aim for same-day or next-day delivery whenever we can, but fall weekends fill up. A quick call or text to Jason at (865) 352-1889 locks in your dumpster, and he can talk through where to set it so you're not carrying brush any farther than you have to. You can also book online any time, day or night.
